For those of you who I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting, welcome!

I always say my journey into the clean energy industry just fell into place. It wasn’t something I knew was a passion of mine from the start. My career kicked off in market research and advertising, working with many clients in various fields. I needed something I cared about, to spark my creativity, and was thankful to land at NCSEA as the Web and Creative Specialist.

Throughout my (five long) years with NCSEA, I’ve never felt better about our work than I do about our Women in Clean Energy initiative. For me personally, WICE means being able to offer an equal opportunity to women in North Carolina working in the clean energy industry, and not just talking about it, but actually changing it. It is a network of over 400 strong participants across the country. I’m so thankful to be able to work with WICE to offer women the opportunity to excel in North Carolina’s clean energy industry by fostering support, camaraderie, and knowledge sharing.

The first two years have been so successful, so I can only imagine where we go in the next year. Our goal is to increase the gender diversity within the clean energy sector and to ensure equal opportunity for all who want cleaner air and a thriving economy.

What it means when you donate!

In the next year, we want to expand WICE even more and launch a leadership development program specifically for women in North Carolina’s clean energy industry. Through this program, participants will hear stories from professional women, learn ways to advocate for themselves in a predominantly male field, and make connections with other women in North Carolina’s clean energy industry.

Please support the women in this state who are entering this industry and aim to keep our air clean and our economy thriving! We are so excited to continue growing our initiative to equip women with the skills and knowledge they need to begin or advance their career in clean energy in North Carolina.
