Hi friends,

My workplace the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) has an amazing program called the Women in Clean Energy (WICE) Initiative. Since its inception in 2018, it has served as a hub of support that has created a community of over 600 individuals in North Carolina and the Southeast. This group has been instrumental to many women who have looked to grow their own professional, noble careers in a male-dominated industry.  

Now WICE seeks support in order to relaunch its Mentorship Program, which is designed to foster lifelong connections between seasoned professionals and those in the early stages of their careers.

I can certainly attest in my professional experience that the ratio of women at energy industry events is almost always well short of proportional to the general population. The traction that the WICE program has gained in its early stages is nothing short of impressive and now we are hoping this campaign will help spearhead real change in the industry.

The WICE Initiative consists of over 600 individuals and has plans to increase its impact and reach through the relaunch of its Mentorship Program. The Mentorship Program is free and directly supports the WICE Initiative’s mission to connect women in clean energy and amplify their voices. If you’re interested in joining the Mentorship Program as a mentor or mentee, fill out the entry form. We are so excited to continue growing our Initiative to equip women with the skills and knowledge they need to begin or advance their careers in clean energy in North Carolina.
